HOW TO BACKUP MAIL AND CONTACTS IN OUTLOOK

 

 

Open Outlook

Click on Outlook Today

Click File

Import/Export

 

Click Export to a file

 

Then Next

 

 

Click Personal Folder File and Next

 

Make sure to click on “include subfolders” and click Next

 

 

 

Click Browse and change the location to My Documents

 

Click Finish

 

 

Change to No Encryption and click OK

 

 

 

 

 

 

This has created a file called      backup.pst    on your hard drive.  This file has copied all your mail and addressbook.

 

However, since this file is on your hard drive, you need to copy the backup.pst to a CD for safe keeping.
