It is important that you don't let your Outlook or Outlook Express mail store get bigger than 2 gig (1,000kb equals 1 mg - 1,024mb equals a gig)

To check this in Outlook

Open Outlook

Click once on Outlook Today

Right click your mouse

Properties

Click Folder size

To check this in Outlook Express

First, you should move your mail store to a folder in My Documents

Right click on Start icon

Explore

Click on My Documents

Create a folder called oe backup

Then Open Outlook Express

Tools

Options

Maintenance

Store Folder

Change

Find the My Documents folder and the oe backup folder and click on it

Click OK

You will get a message that OE will need to close.

Close OE and then open it.  The mail store will be moved to this folder

To check size

Right click Start icon

Explore

Click on My Documents

Click on folder oe backup

Right click your mouse

Properties

General Tab

This will show you the size
